He was born January 11, 1953, the son of Thelma and Thaddis Echols, in Kalamazoo, MI. Michael D. Mann was an employee of General Motors Corporation for 22 years, until he retired. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Brenda Joyce Mann. He also leaves to mourn eight children, Michael D. Mann, Jr., Martin Lee, Mark Allen and Derek Eugene Mann, Lakisha Mabon/Mann, Marlon M. Mann, Eva L. Dixon, and Percillia A. Dixon; his parents, Thelma and Thaddis Echols; one sister, Sharon (Bennie) Russell; five brothers, Robert (Diana) Mann, Kenneth (Linda) Mann, Ronald Echols (who passed away Saturday, January 19, 2008), George (Betty) Fitzpatrick and William Mann, all of Kalamazoo, MI; many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, a host of sister and brother-in-laws and a host of friends. Also, his loving pet dog, Rocky Mann. Services will be held 11 AM Friday with a 10 AM family hour at The Galilee Baptist Church, Pastor J. Louis Felton, officiati! ng.
