TYLER - 9745 N. Riverview Dr. Died Wednesday evening August 21, 1996, at his residence. Mr. TYLER was born April 23, 1920, in Mt. Clements [sic], MI, the son of Alvin and Cecil (CHURCH) TYLER and had lived in the Kalamazoo area for most of his life. Prior to his retirement, he was employed for 29 years at the Torin (Brundage) Company. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a life member and past commander of the Comstock VFW Post #6252 and a former member of the M.O.C. He was preceded in death by a brother Wallace TYLER. On July 30, 1941, he was united in marriage to the former Helen BRIGGS who survives. Also surviving are 2 daughters and 1 son, Janice (M.C.) Terry of Moulton, AL, Maryln (Harold) HENDERSON of Viola, DE and Timothy N. TYLER of Kalamazoo; 5 grandchildren, Daniel, Ronnie and John HENDERSON, Jessie Terry and Shannon Tyler; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Marie REYNOLDS of Decatur, MI and Donna (Harold) CRUMMEL of Palmetto, F! L; several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 3:00 o'clock Saturday at the Langeland Memorial Chapel 622 S. Burdick A Trust 100 Chapel with Pastor Bill McKay of the Faith Covenant Ministries of Allegan and Chaplain Mary Heintzkill, Hospice of Greater Kalamazoo, officiating. Interment in East Cooper Cemetery with military honors being conducted by Comstock VFW Post 6252, Herb Gage officiating. Friends may meet the family today from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the chapel.
