Born in Adair County, Kentucky, to Carl and Beulah (Chelf) Bottom, they moved to Lansing when Imogene was a child. She was employed by Sears, Roebuck and Co. in Lansing for 35 years, until her retirement. While living in Lansing, she attended Penway Church of God. In 1967, she was married to Raymond Hart. After her retirement, they then moved to Pentwater, where Imogene resided for about 15 years, before moving to Kalamazoo. She was presently a member of Westwood Church of God in Kalamazoo. Surviving are one brother, Maurice (Sherrie) Bottom of Raytown, MO; three nieces, D'Anne (Dick Brown) Nightingale, Lynette (Keith) Bailey and Cheryl (Richard) Jordan; one nephew, Mark (Kathy) Nightingale; and five grandnieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her husband, Raymond, in 1985; her parents; one brother, Kenneth Bottom and one sister, Marjorie Nightingale. In accordanc! e with her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. Private family services will be held at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street.
