THOMAS - Kalamazoo, Died Saturday, February 14, 1998 at the Borgess Medical Center. Mr. THOMAS was born July 7, 1917 in Bryan, TX, the son of Lloyd and Bessie (GIBSON) THOMAS. He graduated from Allegan High School in 1935, and from Western Michigan University in 1948. Mr. THOMAS was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in WW II. He was a member of the Westwood United Methodist Church in Kalamazoo, and a life member of Allegan Masonic Lodge F & AM #111. He retired from the Miller-Davis Co. after 33 years of service as a field accountant. Surviving are 1 nephew and his wife, Timothy and Anna THOMAS of Allegan; 1 niece and her husband, Emily and Rick BARTZ of Ohio; 2 grandnieces; 2 grandnephews; 1 sister-in-law, Rose THOMAS of Allegan; several cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane; 1 brother, Glenn; and his sister, Mary FITZPATRICK. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Westwood United Methodist Church in Kalamazoo, Pa! stor Eric Beck officiating. Private interment will be held at Poplar Hill Cemetery in Monterey Township. Memorials may be made to the Westwood United Methodist Church.
