"Ms. Virginia" Of Kalamazoo Mrs. Roberta Nixon (Virginia) went home to be with the Lord Saturday, January 19, 2008. Virginia was born in Gary, IN, May 29, 1933, the daughter of Robert Buck and Maggie Stewart-Buck. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Walter Townsell; her sister, Alberta Vaughn and second husband, William Nixon. Cherishing her memories are her four children, Curtis, Bernard, Cecil (Shaneika) Townsell and Juanita Haywood, all of Kalamazoo; six grandchildren, Jenea (Yafinceio B. Harris) Haywood, Cecil, Jr., Walter, Ciara, Derrick Townsell, Alexis Caples and Brittany Bell-Paul; several great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Her homegoing celebration is scheduled for Monday, January 28th at 11 AM at Galilee Baptist Church, Pastor J. Louis Felton, officiating.
