GABEL - Of Kalamazoo, MI, died Thursday, February 26, 1998. Margaret was born May 30, 1918 in Kendall, Michigan the daughter of Adrian and Vada (GRIFFITH) MAHIEU and had been a Kalamazoo residence since 1932. Prior to her retirement in 1983, she worked as a Registered Nurse at Bronson Methodist Hospital for 42 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd W. GABEL on September 27, 1987. Surviving are a daughter, Debbie DEEM; grandchildren, Melissa (Richard) GARNER, Chad (Tori) DEEM, Brandi DEEM; great-grandchildren, Chad DEEM II, Tyler DEEM, Zackary GARNER, Richard GARNER; brother, Edward (Marion) MAHIEU; nephews, Edward (Sally) MAHIEU, Jr., Jack (Gayle) MAHIEU; cousin, Carrie BOWSHER. Graveside services will be held 2:00 o'clock Saturday at Kendall Cemetery, Pine Grove Township with Rev. Sandra Elfring officiating. The family will receive friends at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes Memorial Chapel 622 S. Burdick St. from 12:30 to 1:30 Saturd! ay.
