He was born July 28,1952 in Allegan, Michigan, to the late Robert and Edith (Mills) Overacker. He was united in marriage to Cindy Wellington in 1979, in Kalamazoo. She survives. Richard's main enjoyment was to go deer hunting. Also surviving Richard are his children, Clifford Overacker, Terry Starr, Nicole Mitchell and Jason Overacker; brothers, Russell (Karen) Overacker, Mike (Carla) Overacker, Don (Kathy) Overacker and David (Denise) Overacker; seven grandchildren; Mother-in-law, Ruth Wellington, several brothers and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Overacker. A celebration of Richard's life will be held on Feb. 2, 2008 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at "A Pizza Yen", 1807 Vanderbilt Rd., Portage, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Richard's family may be directed to Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S.
