HOPPE - 3708 W. Michigan Ave., Formerly of Dunhill Terrace - Died Friday evening, July 26, 1996. Mrs. HOPPE was born March 11, 1912 in Auburn, IN the daughter of Samuel I. and Elnora Jane (LUNG) PARKER and had made her home in this community since the early 1930's. She was a graduate of the Bronson School of Nursing where she received her registered nurse degree. She worked as a registered nurse at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Fairmont Hospital, Pine Crest Sanitarium, T.B. Sanitarium, VerDries Nursing Home, and for the Department of Social Services as a visiting nurse. She was a member of the First United Methodist church. Mildred was an avid bridge player with the groups from the Elks Club and the Lions Club. In 1935 she was united in marriage to William A. HOPPE, who preceded her in death on August 9, 1971. Surviving are two sons, one daughter and their spouses, Bruce W. and Judy HOPPE of Brentwood, TN, Brian A. and Elise HOPPE of Kalamazoo, Jane L. a! nd Tony ABRUZZO of Lapeer, MI; seven grandchildren, Matthew, Todd and Jennifer HOPPE, Mary and Daniel HOPPE, Gina and Elizabeth ABRUZZO; and several nieces and nephews. Services for Mrs. HOPPE will be held Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the Langeland Memorial Chapel 622 S. Burdick A Trust 100 Chapel with Sandra Elfring officiating. Interment in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery.
