Age 98 Of Kalamazoo Formerly of Parchment Passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, August 28, 2010 with her family at her side. Pansy was born on February 14, 1912 in Richland, MI the daughter of Oscar and Lela (Doxey) Martin. She was united in marriage to James (Jack) Bowers on November 25, 1942. Pansy graduated from Ferris Institute (State) and worked in the Kalamazoo Prosecutor's office, a dental office and was an election official in Parchment for many years. Pansy enjoyed fishing, bowling and playing bingo. She loved her great care givers from Custom Carelink, friends at Wyndam and long time friend Maria Zuniga. Pansy was preceded in death by her husband, Jack and her brother, Ford W. Martin. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Stan and Carol Bowers of Parchment. Private burial has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 3, 2010 at Wyndam Apartments, 2300 Portage Street with fellowship immediately following. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made! to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan or Heritage Community.
