SUTTON, Comstock, age 79, died July 27, 1997 at his home. Mr. SUTTON was born April 29, 1918 in St. James, Arkansas, the son of William and Martha (RICHARDSON) SUTTON. He was a WWII Army veteran, and had lived in the Comstock area since 1951. He worked in maintenance for Kalamazoo Sled Co. for 15 years, and then for Fabrical [sic], from which he retired in 1981. He was preceded in death by 1 sister, Dorothy FORD; and 1 brother, Audie SUTTON. On October 23, 1940, he was united in marriage to Jeffie Rae (GRIMES) SUTTON, who survives. Also surviving are 2 sons, Howard Lee SUTTON of Galesburg, and James A. and Carolyn SUTTON of Comstock; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Obie SUTTON of Comstock; 2 sisters, Ortha YOUNGER of Mountain View, AR, and Jean MILLER of Biloxi, MS; several nieces and nephews. The family will be present to receive friends beginning Tuesday at the Comstock Chapel, Hoag-Switzer Funeral Home, 6121 King Highway, where services ! will be held Wednesday 11 a.m. Interment August Cemetery. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Hospice of Greater Kal. The family will be present Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. to receive friends.
