Rosie was born August 23, 1941, in Kalamazoo, the daughter of John and Gertrude (Van Eck) Kiewiet. She was a lifelong resident and was a member of the Lake Center Bible Church. Rosie was affiliated with the Center for Developmentally Disabled Adults and she was cared for by Community Living Options. Surviving are her brother, Bill (Melinda) Kiewiet of Portage, nephews and niece; Ryan, Drew, Brett and Hannah Kiewiet, and by her Community Living Options friends and all of her caregivers throughout the years. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. where a Funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday with her brother, Rev. Bill Kiewiet officiating. Interment will follow in Portage South Cemetery.
