Gene is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marie, daughters Judith DeGraaf of Kalamazoo and Kathryn Makeig of Rockville, MD, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was a World War II veteran and part of the design team for the original Mustang in a 30 year career with Ford Motor Company. He will be missed. Ceremonies will be private.
