Of Marshall, MI Formerly of Kalamazoo Died Sunday evening, March 16, 2008. Cleo was born August 6, 1912 in Hartford, Michigan, a daughter of Charles and Nettie (Rice) Lanphear. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of her life and was a member of Westwood Church of God for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl A. Hughes on June 21, 1993; an adopted sister, Gladys Briggs and her step-mother, Edith Lanphear. She is survived by a daughter, Lois Willrich of Marshall, MI; two grandchildren, Bryan Burrma of Kalamazoo and Adele (Lee) Covington of Marshall; five great-grandchildren, Laura Bailey, Meria Abbott, and Elena, Eric, and David Burrma and two great-great-grandchildren, Makayla and Joshua Bailey. Services will be held 1 o'clock Thursday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Wednesday.
