"Jim" Age 65 Of Kalamazoo Jim passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Bronson Hospital. He was born September 12, 1944 the youngest of eight siblings to Bert and Jacoba (DeGraaf) VanderBor. Jim was employed at WMU, McLeieer Oil Company and Hoekstra's Packing. When he was able, he enjoyed family gathering and long nature walks in the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Henry VanderBor; a sister, Alice Parker; and a nephew, Kurk VanderBor. Jim will be lovingly remembered by his surviving brothers, Art and Gerry VanderBor of Vicksburg, Paul VanderBor of Portage, and Ed and Barb VanderBor of Vicksburg; and sisters, Nellie Peterson of Vicksburg and Pauline Houtkooper of Vicksburg; many nieces and nephews; and a special family friend, Vicky Lowe. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 from 10-11 AM at: Redmond Funeral Home 4100 S. Westnedge Ave. (269) 343-6156 Where Funeral Services will immediately follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Genessee Prairie Cemetery. Reverend Ed Schmidt officiating of Lakeland Reformed Church. Memorial contributions in Jim's memory can be made to the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission or the Kalamazoo Humane Society.
