Gayle was born October 10, 1929 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Leo and Gertrude (Leetz) Polmanteer and had lived in the Kalamazoo area many years. She graduated from Comstock High School and was employed for 30 years at Bronson Hospital as a ward clerk. Gayle was a creative person who loved playing Nintendo, doing crafts and using the computer. She was also a feisty person and you always knew where you stood with her. She would do anything for her friends. Gayle loved her family, her husband, her daughter and her granddaughter, her little red car, was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and watching the squirrels around her home. She enjoyed tracking many generations of the squirrels who lived in her back yard. She was a survivor, having fought back from a car accident and cancer. But her recent battle with COPD was one she did not win. Her survivors include her husband of over 55 years, Jack Douglas Warner; her daughter, Pamela (Wayne) Swiler of Lake ! Odessa; her granddaughter, Amanda Lake of Holt; a sister, Sibella Richardson of Augusta; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, James and Vera Bogan. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM Monday, June 23, 2008 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. with Pastor Mark Jarvie, officiating. Interment will take place in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday one hour prior to the service.
