Humphrey was born July 28, 1928 in New York City to father, Richard P. Windisch and mother, Margaret Humphrey Windisch, who were also long time residents of Naples. He was a 1946 graduate of Deerfield Academy in Deerfield, Massachusetts and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Kalamazoo College in 1951. Humphrey enrolled in the Air National Guard during his college years and was called to active duty during the Korean War to serve in the U.S. Air Force from which he received an honorable discharge in 1953. Humphrey is survived by brothers, John M. Windisch of Naples, FL and Charles C. Windisch and wife, Louise of Cambria, CA, together with a niece, Gillian Parrott and nephews, Dr. Thomas Windisch and Conrad Windisch. Richard Humphrey Windisch will be sadly missed by his family and friends and forever remembered for his kindness and patriotism. His funeral service will be arrange! d by the family and burial is scheduled to take place at the family burial site at Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum, 4521 Spring Grove Ave., Cincinnati, OH.
