Bill was born December 31, 1926 in Aurora, Illinois, a son of William and Margaret (Wampach) Frick Sr. During WWII, he served with the U.S. Army. In 1949, he graduated from MSU with a Bachelor Degree in Business. He had been a Kalamazoo area resident since 1988 and was an insurance agent for 33 years, before retiring. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Mattawan; American Legion Post #54 of Battle Creek; and the Battle Creek Lions Club. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Jean Ann Doner. On April 21, 1951, he was united in marriage to Beverly J. (Hollis) Frick who survives. Also surviving, four children, Robert (Joni) Frick of Alamo, Bruce Frick of Parchment, Barry Frick of Battle Creek, and Rebecca (Jeffrey) Butler of Okemos, MI; six grandchildren; a niece; two nephews; and several cousins. A memorial service will be held one o'clock Friday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 ! South 9th St. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Private burial will take place in Fort Custer National Cemetery at a later date.
