He was born in Detroit, MI on February 8, 1949, to Frank Victor and Lois Lorraine (Sinclair) DeMercy. Paul was raised in Detroit and at age 14 moved with his family to Vassar, MI, where he was a 1967 graduate of Vassar High School. He attended Arizona State one year and then served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Paul received his Bachelors in Business Administration from Saginaw Valley State University in 1982. He has been employed for over 37 years with the Eaton Corporation, where he was currently Supplier Development Manager for North America and Asia. Paul married Jiayun "Ada" Tu on April 26, 2002, in Gatlinburg, TN. Surviving are his wife, Jiayun "Ada"; his daughter, Jessica L. DeMercy of Richland; his father, Frank Victor DeMercy of Ruskin, FL; a brother, Jeff (Tammy) DeMercy of Norcross, GA; two sisters, Michelle (Dennis) Agnew of Boca Raton, FL, Laurie Pforts of Marietta, ! GA and several nieces and nephews. Paul was preceded in death by his mother, Lois L. DeMercy on November 13, 2007. Paul was an excellent cook. He loved Chinese culture and art. He enjoyed traveling on vacations and watching movies with Ada. Paul was a wonderful husband and friend. He will be missed by his family, friends and co-workers. At the request of the family, friends may call after 2 PM Monday at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Richland Chapel, 9170 East "D" Avenue Richland, MI 49083 where they will be received 2-4 & 6-8 PM Monday, May 26, 2008. Services to celebrate Paul's life will be held at the funeral home 10:30 AM Tuesday, May 27, 2008. Interment will follow at Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
