Age 88 Passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2008 in Worthington, Ohio. She was born in New York City April 2, 1920. She later moved to Albany, NY, where she graduated High School. After marrying her husband, William, they moved to Boston. They had also spent time in Oklahoma and Detroit. She and Bill settled in Kalamazoo where they lived for over 34 years. Mariette was an avid book enthusiast, enjoyed crossword puzzles and working with plants and flowers. She also spoke several languages. Mariette was well liked by all who knew her and took pride in the friendships she made over the years. She was a good and moral person who will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Survived by husband of 58 years, William "Bill" Granet; sons, Bruce Granet of Massachusetts and Roger Granet of Columbus, Ohio. Preceded in death by brother, Arsene Bekaert. A graveside service will be held 2 PM, Saturday, June 21, 2008 at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Kalamazoo, Michigan. Arrangements entrusted to: Scho! edinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N.
