Dorene was born on June 23, 1931, to Gladys (Johnson) and Harold Thomas. Dorene is survived by her husband of 60 years, Gordon Worst; children, Marc (Pam) Worst, Jim Worst, Lou Ann (Lon) Grover, and Dorrenne Worst; grandchildren, Marc Worst, Steve, Worst, Jay Ball, and John (Barbara) Shimel; step-grandchildren, Melissa White and Mark Horner; great-grandchildren, Aurora Worst, Jacob Worst, and Amber Shimel; sister, Jacqueline McLeod; brother, Durwood Thomas; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Margean and Edward Gladysz; mother-in-law, Dorothy Worst; several nieces and nephews; and traveling companion, Mary Staron. Dorene worked for several years at the WYCA in Kalamazoo and Burgess Seed Co. in Galesburg, MI. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, attending antique car shows with her husband, jaunts to the casino's with her kids, and family gatherings. Cremation will take place, with a memorial service celebrating her ! life to follow at a later date.
