Carolyn was born September 18, 1943 in Battle Creek, MI, to Robert and Doris Gibson. She is preceded in death by her loving father, Robert Gibson and her grandparents. She was married to her loving and faithful husband of 45 years, William A. Burke on August 11, 1962, who still survives. Also surviving are her son, Troy (Holly) Burke of Fulton and daughter, Dory (Robert) Webb of East Leroy and four cherished grandchildren, Breena, Tyler, Dylan and Krystal. She is also survived by her mother, Doris and step-father, Maynard Piper; her sister, Judy (Larry) Knowles; step-brothers, Richard (Sheri) and Russell (Jan) Piper; several nieces, nephews and extended family and many special friends. Carolyn was an avid quilter. homemaker and gardner, BUT her biggest love and joy was spending time with her four beautiful grandchildren. Carolyn was a kind and giving s! oul and touched everyone that she met in a very special way. She was greatly loved by all and will truly be missed. One of Carolyn's favorite phrases was, "Trust in the Lord" and her favorite song was "He Touched Me". A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 23, 2008 at 1PM at Fulton Christian Church in Fulton, MI. Pastor James Roberts, officiating.
