Of Augusta Passed away May 26, 2008. Eunice was born May 6, 1911 in Nashville, MI, the daughter of Orin E. and Maud (Welcher) Hanes. Eunice attended a country school through eighth grade that she walked to every day. On July 14, 1934, in Howe, Indiana, she married Wallace J. "Bud" Borden and he preceded her in death on December 15, 1993 after more than 50 years of marriage. She is survived by nieces and nephews, Sandy Hill of Kalamazoo, Jackie (Lyle) Showerman of Richland, Letha Reese of Lake Odessa, Dean (Shirley) Shade of Hastings, Bobbie Shade of Lake Odessa, Pearl Shade of Lansing, Karolyn (Jerry) Stalter of Clarksville, Gene (Trudy) Shade of Lake Odessa, Linda (John) Stidham of Nashville and Sherrie (Tom) Wacha of Sunfield; special friends, Bob and Shirley Weaver of Delton and Athea Wooer of Delton and several great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Clayton Haynes; a sister, Mildred Shade; a niece, Frances Johnston and nep! hews, Bob (Maxine) Hill, Brandon Shade and Marvin Shade. The family will receive friends Friday, May 30, 2008, 1-2 PM at the Williams - Gores Funeral Home, Delton, where funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Pastor Jeff Worden, officiating.
