Louise was born on November 15, 1928 in Glendale, MI, the daughter of Guy and Arlene (Crowell) Wilcox. On April 23, 1955, she was united in marriage to Joseph Eugene (Gene) Belco, who preceded her in death in 1973. Surviving are their children, Terri Belco of Cherry Hill, NJ, Mark Belco of Portage and John (Cathy) Belco of Mt. Pleasant, MI. On September 24, 1982, she was married to Joseph R. Gipson, who survives, as do her step-children, Karen (Jay) Wilcox of Mattawan, Tom (Teresa) Gipson of Scotts and Cheryl (Todd) Edlund of Trabuco Canyon, CA. Louise is survived by her beloved grandchildren, Kelsey and Erik Belco of Mount Pleasant; her sister, Virginia (Tom) Spicketts of Kalamazoo; her brothers, Howard (Dody) Wilcox of Mattawan and Leonard (Pat) Wilcox of Kalamazoo; several step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends and neighbors who meant so much to her. She was preceded in death by her s! isters, Bert Dunshee and Francis Lint and by her step-son, Bill Gipson. Cremation has taken place and the family wishes to thank the Avink Funeral Home Cremation Society of Schoolcraft. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at 11 AM at Calvary Reformed Church, 7829 S. 5th St., Mattawan, the Reverend Dave Bruininks, officiating. The family will greet and visit with friends one hour prior to the memorial service. Memorial contributions may be made in Louise's name to the Alzheimer's Association of Michigan, Great Lakes Chapter, 526 Whites Rd., Kalamazoo. Published in the Kalamazoo Gazette on 6/18/2008.
