Martin was born September 25, 1914 in Hesperia, Michigan, a son of Martin and Mary (Brenovsek) Pozeznik, Sr. He had been a Kalamazoo area resident since 1938 and was employed with Nazareth College for 44 years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Gleaner Insurance Group. He also volunteered with Senior Services for over 20 years and received the Point of Light Award for his many years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Anna Morrison, Louise Tanis and Mary Johnston. On April 7, 1951, he was united in marriage to Mardelle (Frederick) Pozeznik, who survives. Also surviving, three children, Diana (Bill) Vorholt of Richland, Fred (Nikki) Pozeznik of Plant City, FL and Roger (Marcie Noble) Pozeznik of Kalamazoo; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Jeff) Hnilo, Lindsie Vorholt and Katie, Allison and Christopher Pozeznik; two great-grandchildren, Connor and Madison Hnilo; and several nieces, nephews and cou! sins in the U.S. and Slovenia. Services will be held 1 o'clock Thursday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday. Interment will be in Mt.
