She was born in Holland on December 23, 1924, the daughter of Henry Bernard and Rachel (Top) Overway and had lived in Kalamazoo for the past 57 years. She was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters. Phyllis is survived by her daughters, Ruth Ann Gould of CA and Jane Ellen (Gordon) Borton of Kalamazoo; her grandchildren, Jason A. Gould, Adam J. Gould and his fiancée, Meghan Purcell all of CA, Matthew G. Borton and Rachel Jane Borton of Kalamazoo. Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday at 10:00 AM at Hope Reformed Church, 910 Jenks Blvd, with Rev. Kent Frens officiating.
