Of Galesburg, Michigan Passed away February 24, 2008 at Laurels of Galesburg. She was born November 9, 1929, to the late Peter M. and Angeline M. (LaDuc) Westerdahl. She married Arlyn "Camp" Pierman in April of 1948, who preceded her in death in 2003. She owned and operated Lenore's Beauty Shop for over 35 years in Galesburg and in 1973, she and "Camp" moved to the UP and owned and operated the Whispering Pines Motel in Calumet, MI for over 20 years. Lenore loved her husband and with him enjoyed their children, grandchildren and great-grandchild very much. In her earlier years, she enjoyed knitting, sewing, crocheting and cooking. She was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Galesburg. Surviving Lenore are her children, Bonnie (Michael) Knapp of Galesburg, Karen Blaidsell of Mattawan, Gail (Mark) Starr of Galesburg and Craig Pierman of Kalamazoo; grandchildren, Paul Berky II, Chelsea (Aaron Grogg) and Ian Pearce, all of Galesburg, and Nick Blaisdell of Mattawan; great-g! randdaughter, Aalyn Marie Grogg; brothers and sisters-in-law, Doyle (Jackie) Pierman, Lyle (Connie) Pierman, Mable Pierman, Eileen Pierce, Phyllis (Les) Barnes; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her sisters, Dorothy (Durward) Chase, Lorraine (Vince) Shovlain and Rosemary (Vern) Shomer. Visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 27th from 2-4:00 PM and 6-8:00 PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Galesburg Chapel, 145 West Battle Creek St., Galesburg, MI. Funeral services will take place at the Galesburg Chapel on Thursday, Feb. 28th at 12:00 noon, Rev. Whitney Brown, officiating. Interment at Ft. Custer National Cemetery immediately following the service.
