Ronald was born on June 16, 1940 the son of John and Helen (SA FRAUSKI) GAWEL in Chicago, IL. On May 18, 1963 he was united in marriage to the former Adele PINEAU who survives. Ronald was a postal clerk with the US Postal Service in the Oshtemo Branch for the past 19 years. He was a member of the Paw Paw Knights of Columbus Council #3798, and Worthy Captain of Paw Paw Assembly 0052 4th Degree. Ronald was a member of St. Mary Church, Paw Paw. Surviving is his wife Adele, children and their spouses, Raymond (Iva) GAWEL of Allegan; Susan (Kieth [sic]) SOUTHERTON of Medford, NJ; and Alan (Nancy) GAWEL of Vicksburg; mother, Helen GAWEL of Kalamazoo, grandchildren, Travis, Lee, Emily, Craig, Chelsea, Rebecca, and Alina. Sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Gene FAJFER of Littleton, CO. He was preceded in death by his father John GAWEL.! The family will receive friends at the Thompson and Hawley Funeral Home, Paw Paw, Sunday from 7-9 pm. A 4th degree Knights of Columbus Rotary Service will be held at 7:30 pm. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 7-9 pm Monday with a Scripture Service at 7:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday 11:00 am at St. Mary Church, 209 S. Brown St., Paw Paw, with Rev. Fr. Robert Flickenger celebrant.
