Portage, MI Passed away Sunday, February 24, 2008 at Rose Arbor after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born January 28, 1951 in Kalamazoo, son of Mary L. (Bailey) and the late Jack A. Stephens. He was a graduate of Loy Norrix and Ferris State University becoming a well known area Pharmacist. Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Sharon M. (Hoffman); sons, Brian and Justin; Step-son, Justin Milnickel; sister-in-law, Robyn; nephews, Ben and Ryan; nieces, Sara and Dani (Jason); Uncle, Dick (Rosie) Bailey. Gary was preceded in death by his father, Jack, in 1979; and his brother, Thomas, in 2003. In keeping with Gary's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Family & Friend Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held April 12, 2008 (his father's birthday) at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park where he will be laid to rest. Memorials may be directed to Rose Arbor Hospice Residence, 5473 Croyden Ave., Kalamazoo, MI 49009.
