Mrs. GROETSEMA was born December 22, 1911 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of John and Katherine (VAN KAMPEN) JOHNSON, and was a lifelong resident here. Mrs. GROETSEMA was a member of the Netherlands Reformed Congregation and the Ladies Guild. On May 25, 1934 she was married to Claus P. GROETSEMA, who survives. Also surviving are one son and one daughter and their spouses, James and Ruth GROETSEMA of Kalamazoo, and Linda and William TIMMER of Grand Rapids; seven grandchildren, Steven GROETSEMA, Shelly ELSMAN, Scott GROETSEMA, Stan GROETSEMA, John TIMMER, Sara KWEKEL and Joel TIMMER, Sara KWEKEL, and Joel TIMMER; ten great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister, Garret JOHNSON and Johanna VANDEN BERG, both of Kalamazoo; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Jack Ronald GROETSEMA; a brother, Lawrence JOHNSON; and a sister, Nellie LANTING. Services w! ill be held Monday at 1:00 o'clock at the Netherlands Reformed Church, 108 Pratt Road, with the Rev. Mr. Arnoud Vergunst officiating. Interment in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may meet the family at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes Memorial Chapel 622 S.
