Laura was born August 28, 1942 in Kalamazoo to Ed and Marie Burrell. She attended Kalamazoo Public Schools and worked as a dietician for the hospital. Mary was united in marriage to Dave Vergon August of 1970. To this union two children were born. Laura loved to cook and do crossword puzzles, Laura was also an avid television watcher. Laura is survived by her husband Dave, children Laurie and Dave Jr., Uncle Robert (Fran) Rodenburger of Kalamazoo, cousin Pam Whitmore, nephew Tim Miller, and nieces Jennifer and Lisa Whitmore. Services will be held Wednesday February 27, 2008 (tomorrow) at 1:00 PM at Whitley Memorial Funeral home with Pastor Bradley Belcher officiating. Visitation will be held this evening from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Burial will follow services at Maple Grove Cemetery in Comstock Township.
