Age 55 Of Cooper Township Passed away on January 29, 2008 at home. Melvin was born on December 29, 1952 in Inglewood, CA the son of the late Elmer and Margaret (White) Sterling. Melvin loved nature. He was kind, generous and was a fun loving man. He is survived by a son, Joshua Sterling, his foster mother, Melva Lawrence; three brothers, Greg (Roberta) Flynn of Galesburg, Melton (Joan) Sterling of California and Elray Sterling of Texas, two nephews; Mike and Chris; a great niece Holly and a great nephew, Andres and several friends. In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at 7PM at PARCHMENT-REDMOND Funeral Home 2300 East "G" Ave. 349-7735 Rev.
