Mr. SCHONVELD was born in The Netherlands June 11, 1911, a son of John and Cornelia (ENDE) SCHONVELD, and had been a Kalamazoo resident for 50 years. He was employed as an accountant for Statler Ready Mixed Concrete for 25 years. After retirement he was the Executive Secretary of the Kalamazoo Area Builders Exchange for 7 years. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Kalamazoo. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marian in 1971; a step-son James S. OORBECK in 1989; and 6 brothers and 3 sisters. On September 12, 1985 he married the former Inez METZGER, who survives. Also surviving are a son and daughter, Paul and Donna SCHONVELD of Portage, and Helen and Robert LEMMER of Kalamazoo; 5 grandchildren; Carrie, Lindsay, and Steven SCHONVELD and Chad and Kristina LEMMER; 2 brothers, Kars SCHONVELD of Florida, and Juus and An SCHONVELD of the Netherlands; many nieces and nep! hews. Interment services will be held at 12:30 o'clock Wednesday at Riverside Cemetery (Section 24, behind Borgess Medical Center), followed by a Memorial Service at 1:30 o'clock at the First Presbyterian Church, 321 W. South St., with the Rev. M. J. Thomas Green officiating. Friends may meet the family this evening from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes Memorial Chapel 622 S.
