She was born April 29, 1919, in Jackson, MI, the daughter of the late Dale and Ethel (WOOD) DEVOE. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary, Michigan Dental Association, Board of Directors of Dewing Hall, Oshtemo Twp. Planning Commission, Borgess Service League and the AAUW. Surviving: are her husband, J. Robert SHORT; children, Landis (Mollie) MCFINTON of Kalamazoo, Sue SHOUP of Kalamazoo, Sharon (Tom) HODGSON of Chelsea, MI; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held December 9, 1997 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Ever-Rest Mausoleim, Kal.
