SUMMERS - Kalamazoo, MI, died Saturday morning November 29, 1997. Mrs. SUMMERS was born May 22, 1904 in Indiana a daughter of Eli and Mary (HAWKINS) FOWLER. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident for the past 2 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur SUMMERS in 1966; a daughter, Mary Frances DERYKE; a step daughter and her husband, Helen and Bill HOWARD; a granddaughter, Judith Ann DERYKE; and 8 brothers and sisters. She is survived by a son-in-law, Willliam (Marge) DERYKE of Portage; a step daughter, Virginia MARTIN of Virginia; 4 grandchildren, Terri (Mike) BRUCKMAN of Indianapolis, IN, Patti (Gary) ROBBINS of Kalamazoo, Debbie (Donald) DRENTEN of South Carolina, and mark (Danielle) HOWARD of Colorado; 3 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 11 o'clock Monday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes Memorial Chapel 622 S. Burdick St. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Private interment wil! l be in Grovelawn Cemetery, Madison, IN.
