I haven't found them yet in the 1880 census, so I have no timeframe as to when they moved from K-zoo to Ottawa other than sometime between 1870 and 1900. Since I posted, I have found a gedcom which gives their names as James L. and Mary B. Kline. I'm working on the hypothesis that Mary Kline was the daughter of Abigail Thornton, and that Abigail very possibly was the eldest daughter of my 3rd great grandparents. David and Hannah Hittle. Unfortunately, there is a LOT about David's family that no-one has been able to find documentation for, so I'm having to do this the hard way. I appreciate your input.
