She was born March 3, 1911 in Yankee Springs Twp., 3, 1911 in Yankee Springs Twp., Barry County, the daughter of George and Elizabeth (Frank) MCKIBBIN. She attended Yankee Springs and county rural schools, and graduated from Hastings High School. She attended Barry County Normal, and Western Michigan Teacher's College. She taught in rural schools for 25 years, retiring in 1955, 5 years at Yankee Springs and 20 years at Milo Schools. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Kalamazoo. She was married to Rush SAUNDERS, who preceded her in death March 26, 1980. Surviving are a daughter and husband, Mary and James CHADDERDON of Kalamazoo; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth BROOKS of Plainwell; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Norma (Wesley) ALTHAUS on May 30, 1! 979; and several brothers and sisters. Visitation Saturday from 5-8 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Home Delton where Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. Pastor Preston D. Porter officiating. Burial Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Kalamazoo.
