SHORT Jr., Kalamazoo, MI, Died Tuesday morning, December 2, 1997 following a short illness. Mr. SHORT was born January 28, 1908 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, a son of Robert and Lillian (MILHAM) SHORT, Sr. During WW II, he served with the U.S. Army as a Lieutenant Colonel, and later retired after 34 years of service. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident, and was employed at Joseph P. Loughead Company for 43 years, retiring in 1981. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mae SHORT in 1989. He is survived by 3 cousins, Elsie TURNER, Eleanor REYNOLDS, and Phyllis (Tony) LORENTZ, all of Kalamazoo. In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. Private interment of cremains at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Michigan Kidney Foundation. Arrangements were made by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes Memorial Chapel, 622 S.
