Of Portage Al went to meet his parents, James and Adrianna Conkle, and his brothers, Jim and Buddy Conkle, in his heavenly home early Saturday, February 9, 2008. Al is survived by his wife, Jan (Skelton) Conkle and their sons, Brad (Colleen) Conkle and Brian (Juanita) Conkle; his grandchildren, Kenny Conkle, Kaleb Conkle, Chrissi Sleigh and Trina Stephenson; his brothers, Clarence (Doris) Conkle and Ollie (Eun) Conkle; his sister, Lil (Warren) Overton; many nieces and nephews; and his dear special friends, Ken and Jackie Terpstra. Al was a member of Prairie Edge Christian Reformed Church and a charter member of the Singing Crusaders. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. Services will be held 11:00 Wednesday morning at Prairie Edge Christian Reformed Church, 9316 Oakland Drive, with the Rev. Philip Kok and the Rev. Harold Cupery, officiating.
