Don was born January 17, 1926 in Niantic, IL, the son of Roy J. and Mary T. (Powell) Whitten. Donald owned and farmed a Black Angus cattle ranch in Illiopolis, IL. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be scheduled in June of 2008. He is survived by his two daughters, Donna Whitten-Jeberjahn (Lee) of San Luis Obispo, CA and Elizabeth Whitten-Edison (Mike) of Kalamazoo; four granddaughters and one grandson, Mackenzie Whitten Sheahan (Mitchell) of Mt. Pleasant, Jessica Whitten Jeberjahn Farmington Hills, Mallory Whitten Myers of Kalamazoo, Amanda Elizabeth Jeberjahn of San Luis Obispo, CA, and Matthew Whitten Myers of Kalamazoo; one great-granddaughter, Kaley Elizabeth Sheahan of Mt. Pleasant and one brother, Darrell Whitten of Scottsdale, AZ.
