Of Portage Mr. Wilkins passed away Sunday evening, February 10, 2008 at Borgess Medical Center. He was born October 10, 1929 in Adamsville, TN, the only son of Obie and Adie Wilkins. Maynard was employed by James River Paper Co. for 41 years, until his retirement. Surviving are his wife, Frances Wilkins; three children, Barbara Ailes, David (Sharon) Wilkins and Patsy (Bruce) Faylor; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death are his parents and three sisters, Lena Weatherspoon, Lois Boltjes and Jean McNees. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street, with Rev. James Dyke, officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Comstock. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of services at the funeral home.
