He retired from Nortel in 1997 after spending 40 years in the telecommunications business. He will be sadly missed by wife, Marilyn; two sons, Michael and Chris; two daughters, Lori and Terri; his mother, Louise M. Shaw and one brother, Barton (Sheila) Shaw and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert N. Shaw. He loved spending time with his eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. An avid golfer, he loved to play golf, especially in the Monterey Bay area. A memorial service was held in San Jose, California on January 23, 2008. Published in the Kalamazoo Gazette on 2/3/2008.
