He was born July 8, 1934 in South Pittsburg, TN, the son of Franklin Delanore and Josie SHORT. Surviving are his wife, Cathy SHORT of Florida; sons, Jim SHORT of Kalamazoo, Franklin and Kevin SHORT, both of Florida, Brandon SHORT of New York; daughters, Maxine FELICIANO and Jamie SHORT, both of Florida; brother, David HARRIS of Florida; sister, Louise BLEVINS of Kalamazoo; and other brothers and sisters in Tennessee; 11 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
