Of Parchment Leila died Saturday morning, February 23, 2008. She was born March 24, 1923 in Springfield, MO and had lived most of her life in Parchment, MI. Leila was a member of Parchment United Methodist Church and was retired from Allen Test Products, where she worked as an inspector for 33 years. On April 26, 1941, Leila was united in marriage with James H. Colvin, who preceded her in death on November 26, 1995. She was also preceded in death by daughter, Suzanne, in August of 1974. Surviving are three children, Gloria Colvin of Parchment, Linda (Jim) Sylva of Upland, CA and Andrew Colvin of Comstock; five grandchildren, Amy (Steve) Vos, Jackie (Bill) Nowland, Chad (Stacy) Baker; AJ Colvin and Celina Cole; ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday (today) from 7-9 PM and on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Public graveside services will be held 1:00 Wednesday afternoo! n in the mausoleum chapel of Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park, with the Rev. Dan Minor, officiating. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are invited to join the family at the funeral home by 12:30 Wednesday afternoon for the line up and procession to the cemetery. Memorial contributions should be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan or to the Upjohn Community Care Center. www.langelands.com 269-343-1508.
