Kalamazoo, MI Died Friday morning, February 19, 2010. Rita was born August 2, 1934 in Muskegon, Michigan a daughter of Ralph and Mary (Meisen) Feuerborn. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident for 50 years and was employed with several hospitals as an X-ray technician for 20 years before retiring. She also attended the Lighthouse Community Church. Rita was preceded in death by her parents. On February 8, 1992, she was united in marriage to Thomas C. Simpson who survives. Also surviving, two step-children, Thomas (Karen) Simpson of Portage and Debbie (Brian) Noel of Grand Rapids, MI; two brothers, R. Joseph Feuerborn of Spring Lake, MI and Edward Feuerborn of Norton Shores, MI; four sisters, Bertha LeMieux of Owosso, OK, Ann Bauer and Joyce Bredin both of Norton Shores, MI, and Agnes Nelson of North Muskegon, MI; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held 11 o'clock Tuesday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th St. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday. Interment will be in Fort Custer National Cemetery.
