Henry was born September 6, 1921 in Comstock, MI to the late Leon and Portia Shellman. He attended and graduated from Comstock Public Schools. Henry owned and operated "Shellman radio and TV repair", Henry enjoyed mathematics, finding great pleasure in solving mathematical equations and puzzles. Henry proudly served in World War II as a Army Veteran. Henry leaves behind to forever cherish his memory daughter, Doris A. Smith; his companion, Sue Heath, to whom he was once married to in his early life. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Laura, Robert, and Maureen; four great grandchildren, Josh, Quentin, Jason, and Jaime; one great great grandchild, Jayce; son-in-law, Robert Sternaman; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Henry was preceded in death by his mother and father, daughter, Diana N. Sternaman and brother, Richard C. Shellman. In accordanc! e with Henry's wishes cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held Monday, March 1, 2010 at 11 AM from the First Freewill Baptist Church, in Comstock MI with Pastor John Vick officiating.
