She was born January 19, 1918 in Kalamazoo, to the late Peter and Ethel M. (Landfair) Dalenberg. Lucille was married to Lester Ward Miller on December 2, 1939, who preceded her in death in October of 1994. She loved golf, square-dancing, bowling, pool, flower gardening and traveling. She was always ready for adventures with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and baking; her biscuits and her pies were legendary! Surviving Lucille are her children, Richard (Mary Jane) Miller of Holt, MI, Thomas (Sharon) Miller of Kalamazoo, Patricia Hodgman of Kalamazoo and Jerry Miller of Houston; grandchildren, Clifford (Clare) Hodgman, William Hodgman, Cheryl Ann (Roger) Hipp and Carole (Dennis) Marvin; five great grandsons, Luke, Jacob, Dylan, Evan and Aaron; two nieces and 1 nephew. Also preceding Lucille in death were, her sister, Evelyn Rector ; and brother, Lyle Dalenberg. Services will take place Wednesday, 11:00 o'clock, at Mt. Eve! r-Rest Cemetery in the chapel. She was a kind, gentle-hearted person who loved to laugh, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. A special thanks to the staff and caregivers of hospice.
