Kalamazoo Passed away Monday, March 22, 2010 in Kalamazoo. He was born April 14, 1926 in Allegan, a son of George, Sr. and Mary (Biddle) Peet and was a resident of the Plainwell area for 50 years. Lowell spent three years in the United States Army during WWII and following his service, he was a self employed carpenter for over 40 years. On April 2, 1948, he married Margret "Jean" Bazaan, who preceded him in death in 1999. He was also preceded by his parents; two brothers, George, Jr. (Blanche) Peet and Hollis (Mildred) Peet; and a sister, Helen (Nub) Rackley. Lowell is survived by his children, Kevan ((Barb) Peet of Kalamazoo and Carie (Phil) Nixon of Tolono, IL; two grandchildren, Megan (Shawn) Anderson and Amber (Eric) Camp; a brother, Paul (Lil) Peet; nieces and nephews. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family committal will be held at a later date.
