Age 78 Kalamazoo, MI Departed this life Thursday, March 18, 2010. She was born Thelma Craig, November 7, 1931 in Morris Chappell, TN, to Clint Craig and Susie Randall Craig. Thelma was married to Fred Shotwell in May of 1951 and had five children. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, William Paul Craig and Ashley Boyd Craig; one sister, Wilma Craig; and two special sisters, Eulalia Henry and Lenora Stewart. Thelma leaves to cherish her memory: her children whom she loved dearly, her four sons, Steve (Haun) Shotwell of Southfield, MI; Earl Duane (Vickie) Shotwell; Kenneth (Naomi) Shotwell, Michael (Lillie) Shotwell, one daughter, Teresa Shotwell, all of Kalamazoo, MI; adopted children, George Henry, Evelyn Warr, Percy Henry, Lenora Burnett, Alverna Williams, and Donna Henry all of Kalamazoo, MI; Wanda (Ira) Fuller of Cedar Hills, TX; one sister-in-law, Perney Craig; two nephews, Aundrey (Muriel) and Girard Craig all of Shaker Heights, OH; grandchildren: Amia, Berangila, Lorelie! , Shelly, Bryan, Menisha, Shi-Ne', Shaun'cea, Tiffany, Brandon, Alex, and Stormie; great-grandchildren: Pelo, Laila, and Jaylon; six cousins: five in Nashville, TN and Barbara (Jim) Brashers of Kalamazoo, MI; several friends, which include special friends, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Doudy and family. She accepted Christ at an early age and later, after coming to Kalamazoo joined The Galilee Baptist Church. She was very active in the church until she became ill. She attended ANI State College of Nashville Tennessee. Thelma worked for Kalamazoo County as a Child Guidance worker for 10 years and The Upjohn Company for 13 years until her retirement. After retirement, she worked with The Junior Girls Organization and as a Senior Companion through Senior Services. Mrs. Thelma Angelina Shotwell will surely be missed. Services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, with a 12 Noon Family Hour at The Galilee Baptist Church, Dr. J. Louis Felton, officiating. Friends may view 4-6 PM Thursday at the Har! per Funeral Home, 521 Douglas Avenue, 342-1000. Interment Mt.
