She was born January 20, 1920 in Chicago, IL, a daughter of Derk and Theresa (Smits) Doornbos and lived in Kalamazoo for many years. She was a charter member of Westwood Christian Reformed Church and worked as a secretary for several companies. She also served on the board and the Auxiliary of Park Village Pines. On November 16, 1945, she married Maynard Venema, who preceded her in death on October 27, 2001. She was also preceded by her parents; and three brothers, Otto, Carl and John Doornbos. Angeline is survived by her children, Marv (Carol) Venema of Zeeland, Terry (Kenneth) Boekeloo of Howell, Karen (Brad) Overacker of Portage, Dick (Janie) Venema of Hudsonville, and Mick (Barb) Venema of Kalamazoo; 17 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Stob of Zeeland and Fennetta (Bill) Stoub of IL; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday at! 11:00 AM in the Westwood Christian Reformed Church, 620 Northampton, with Pastor Bill Fernhout officiating. Interment will take place in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S, 9th St., on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Westwood Christian Reformed Church or Senior Services.
