Kalamazoo Passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2010. Delores was born March 8, 1937 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of John and Blanche (Wilson) Nedervelt and was a lifelong resident of the Kalamazoo area. She had been employed by Western Michigan University in the admissions department for 13 years, retiring in 1988. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Dale Nedervelt. Her survivors include her children, Jim (Gale) Hartman of Johnstown, OH, Mary Snyder of Allegan, Nancy (Dwayne) Montague of Trenton, NC, Sharon (Doug) Martin of Grand Ledge, Todd (Chris) Hartman of Portage and Mark (Susan) Hartman of Gobles; 16 grandchildren; 2.5 great grandchildren; a brother, Duane (Kay) Nedervelt of Kernersville, NC; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 PM in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. with Bishop David Hagerty officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday f! rom 2-4 and 6-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Senior Services of Kalamazoo.
